Safe Place Initiative

The New Providence Police Department launched the Safe Place Initiative which has been adapted by all Union County police agencies.  The program is a cooperation with local businesses to provide a "safe place" for victims of crimes to go when waiting for police response.  The partnership businesses display the rainbow decal (seen below) on their storefront to let victims know that they can feel comfortable contacting and waiting for a police officer in their business.
