Dear Customer, 

This is an important notification from New Jersey American Water. We will be in your area beginning on Monday, September 29th to assess our customers’ water service line materials. 
 Water service lines connect our water main to your home or property and can be made of: 
 • Copper
 • Plastic
 • Galvanized steel
 • Iron
 • Lead

 Please “pipe up” and help us by completing an online survey at newjerseyamwater.com/leadsurvey or answering questions from our project contractors if they contact you or come to your door. 

 All New Jersey American Water employees and contractors will carry official company photo ID badges and wear logoed, high visibility vests. Your assistance with this information-gathering project is very important and will help, with our required inventory of water service line materials with the goal of removing all lead and galvanized service lines by 2031.
