[ARCHIVED] Join Us for the Memorial Day Parade

Flyer-Memorial Day Parade 2025

The annual New Providence Memorial Day parade, co-sponsored by the New Providence American Legion Post #433 and the Borough of New Providence, will be held on Monday, May 26 at 10:00am.  All are invited to attend this traditional event honoring the men and women who gave their lives to protect our country.  


Following is a list of the day’s events:

9:00am      Memorial Service at Veterans Memorial Park on South Street

9:45am      Welcome address by Mayor Al Morgan from the lawn of the Presbyterian Church 

10:00am     Parade Begins at the corner of Springfield and Central, and marches east on Springfield

       Parade pauses at the United Methodist Church for Salute to the Dead and TAPS

       Parade pauses at the Presbyterian Church for Salute to the Dead and TAPS

       Parade Concludes with a service at the Veterans Memorial at the NP Memorial Library

The Grand Marshall of the 2025 parade is Russ Davidson, a New Providence resident who proudly served in the U.S. Army and worked as a NJ State Trooper.  Parade participants will include local first responders, scouts, youth sports leagues, non-profits and businesses.  For more information, please contact the New Providence Community Activities Department (908)464-4430.
