On Tuesday, March 11, during the regularly scheduled Borough Council meeting, an Affordable Housing Presentation/Public Information Session will be taking place at the Municipal Center located at 360 Elkwood Avenue.
The presentation will cover the following:
• What is affordable housing and “Mt. Laurel?”
• Why do municipalities have a requirement to provide affordable housing?
• What has New Providence done in the past to meet its affordable housing obligations?
• Where did New Providence’s Fourth Round obligation of 198 units come from?
• What is New Providence doing to meet its Fourth-Round obligation and how do these decisions impact New Providence residents?
