Board of Adjustment (Zoning)
In contrast to the Planning Board, the Board of Adjustment is in charge of non-permitted activities within the construction department.

Board of Health
The Board of Health is responsible for assessing the status of public health in the community, developing policies to address public health needs and assuring that these needs are met.

Historic Preservation Commission
The Commission, appointed by the mayor, makes recommendations to the governing body and executes ideas for preserving the borough’s historical character.

New Providence Alliance
The New Providence Alliance maintains a consistent presence in our community each year, striving to keep our citizens aware of current trends in drug and alcohol abuse impacting all of our lives. We are funded by a grant from the Governor's Council on Substance Use Disorder, the Borough of New Providence and via our fund raising efforts. The Alliance conducts programs that reach individuals in every age bracket of our community.

Planning Board
The essential duties of the Planning Board are to deal with policy (the Borough’s Master Plan) and the implementation of that policy through the zoning, site plan, and subdivision ordinances.

Volunteer Advisory Committees
This committee makes recommendations to the governing body and executes new ideas for the Borough’s ambiance, character and appearance.
