Next payment reminder: 4th Quarter taxes are due November 1, 2025.  The grace period for 4th quarter taxes ends November 10, 2025.  If paying by check, please make checks payable to "Borough of New Providence".

Income Tax Statements

We do not send year-end payment statements for income tax purposes. This information should be obtained from your tax bill or your own personal receipts. You can also view your payment history through the online payment portal. The assessment postcard you receive in late-January is not to be used for income tax purposes as it sometimes does not accurately reflect the total paid in taxes. This postcard is for tax appeal purposes only. 

Tax Rate Information

• 2025 Final Tax rate: 5.242%
• 2025 S.I.D rate: 0.200% (special improvement district only)

Tax Bill Increase for 2025 example using an assessed value of $350,000 (market value $893,540):

• 2024: 350,000 x 0.05162 = $18,067.00
• 2025: 350,000 x 0.05242 = $18,347.00
• Total annual increase = $280

Tax Sale Update

• The 2025 Tax Sale scheduled for December 3, 2025 has been cancelled.  All prior year delinquencies have been satisfied as of October 20, 2025.
